Lundberg Custom Baits is pleased to introduce a new musky and pike bait called the Thumper Bucktail and Mini Thumper Bucktail. This is a bucktail that I developed for myself, and has helped me boat a number of musky since the fall of 2009. Below are the specs for each model. Right now I am offering only 2 color combinations, but more patterns will be available soon.
Thumper
Overall length is 7" and weighs 2 ounces
Has a #8 fluted blade to give lots of flash and tons of "thump"
Tail-weighted to make the bucktail ride better, and cast far
Replaceable EC 374 2X 5/0 hook - the bucktail hair isn't tied to the hook
Super strong split ring, wire, and hook
Mini Thumper
Overall length is 6" and weighs 1 ounces
Has a #6 fluted blade to give lots of flash and plenty of "thump"

The Lundberg Thumper works best when fished right below the surface. To fish the Thumper, make long casts and hold your rod tip down while reeling. Vary the speed of your retrieve as well! A 6' 9" to 7' heavy to extra heavy action rod, paired with a 5.1:1 reel, is ideal for fishing the Thumper. Always use a flexible leader like the Lock-Jaw 100% fluorocarbon leaders when fishing the Thumper or Mini Thumper.
