This is a brand new product from Murphy Outdoors called the Lock-Jaw Musky/Pike Leader. These leaders are the best! They are 12" long and are hand-made by me using only the finest components including Seaguar fluorocarbon line, SPRO 130 pound Power Swivels, double barrel crimps from Offshore Anglers, and StringEase Fastach size #5 150 pound swivels. I have been fishing with these leaders since 2007, and they work great. I won't put a $30+ lure on any other leader.
I am now selling 2 models of Lock-Jaw Musky/Pike Leaders. Each has the EXACT same components, the only difference is the size of the line. I've had a number of people ask for leaders that are larger than 80 lb, so now I have a 130 lb Seaguar fluorocarbon leader for sale.
** Note - If you are buying both Stalkers and Leaders, then PayPal doesn't calculate the S&H correctly. Please check out separately **
My clients and I have field tested these leaders and they have never failed or broken on a fish. They are ideal for jerk and glide baits, bucktails and blade baits, and for fishing/trolling in clear water lakes and rivers.
Some people have asked "why do you use such a small swivel?" I was using larger swivels, but I lost some lures with them. I fish around a lot of woody cover at Pomme de Terre, and I found that I can get my lure retriever pole over these SPRO snaps and down to the bait to pop it loose. When I used the larger snaps, I was losing lures because I couldn't get the lure retriever past the snap to work the bait loose. The SPRO swivel is rated at 130 pounds, so it's every bit as strong as the line.
To be sure that you are satisfied I am giving each buyer an unconditional 90-day money back guarantee. So buy a bunch, what do you have to lose?
Don't trust the fish of a lifetime to a second rate steel leader, or to one of those titanium leaders that slips through the crimp. These leaders are TOUGH and are made for the serious musky and pike angler. In my home tests, the hooks bend before the leader breaks!
I was fishing two winters ago in February at Pomme de Terre and my hands were freezing. I had a Fastach snap on one rod, and a cross-lock on another rod. My hands were so cold that I absolutely couldn't open and close the cross-lock snap, but I could work the Fastach snap just fine. How about that cold season musky fishermen!
